О том, как эффективно заниматься иностранными языками

Серия полезных советов

Мы уже опубликовали первые уроки из языкового курса, подготовленного редакцией газеты. В ближайшие два-три месяца мы будем делать это регулярно. Наша задача – освежить и систематизировать ваши знания. А кроме этого, дать несколько советов по изучению иностранных языков. Наш девиз: не важно, КАКОЙ язык вы изучаете, важно, КАК вы это делаете.

Совет из прошлого выпуска – подготовить для себя словарик. Но не просто набор незнакомых слов. Выбирайте слова по частоте употребления в разговорной речи. Мы продолжаем публиковать частотные словари английского и греческого языка. За неделю вам предстоит выучить новую порцию слов.

Совет второй. О том, как запомнить новое слово

Что самое главное в процессе изучения нового языка? Прежде всего, разобраться в элементарной грамматике. А на втором месте (но, по сути, это – самое главное) – запомнить как можно больше новых слов.

Как запоминать слова?

Совет этого выпуска: каждое новое слово нужно написать (1), услышать и проговорить (2), пощупать (3). Как?

1. Написать – это понятно. Выписываем новые слова в тетрадочку. Слово-перевод, слово-перевод. Затем каждое из новых слов пишем раз по десять, запоминая, как оно пишется. Повторяем это упражнение на следующий день, затем пишем слова по памяти, проверяем сами себя, еще раз пишем. И так до тех пор, пока не перестанете делать ошибки, вспоминая слово (чур, не подглядывать!)

2. Найдите в Интернете словарь, снабженный голосовыми файлами. Очень удобно! Нажимаете на кнопочку – для вас это слово произносят. Повторите новое слово. Несколько раз, пожалуйста. И назавтра еще несколько раз. До тех пор, пока не удастся точно воспроизвести интонацию и произношение.

3. Пощупать предметы просто. Запоминаете слово «стул», подойдите к ближайшему стулу. Попробуйте это слово «на вкус и цвет». Какой это стул? Синий, мягкий, деревянный или пластмассовый? Так и говорите (обязательно прикасайтесь при этом к предмету – задействуется ассоциативная и кинетическая память). Blue chair. Soft chair. Wooden chair. Plastic chair… Заодно выучите и несколько новых прилагательных – тоже полезно.

А как «пощупать» слово «радость», например? Его нужно представить! И придумать предложение, обязательно связанное с каким-то приятным событием. «Это была самая радостная новость за последние дни» – вот такое предложение вы могли бы придумать. При этом воспроизвести в памяти это событие.

Совершенствуем английский. Урок 2.  Прошедшее время: инструкция к применению

Предложение в прошедшем времени можно составить разными способами. Ведь в английском языке все зависит от того, как именно и когда произошло то, что вы пытаетесь описать. Например, четыре фразы, приведенные ниже, будут переведены на английский с использованием разных форм и времен.

Я вчера играла в теннис. (Past Indefinite)

Я вчера с 3 до 5 играла в теннис. (Past Сontinuous)

Я сегодня уже играла в теннис. (Present Perfect)

Я только закончила играть в теннис, как пришел Джордж. (Past Perfect, Past Indefinite).

И в этом многообразии заключается основная сложность для изучающих английский язык. Но пусть вас это не пугает. На самом деле очень легко в этом всем разобраться. Давайте начнем и сравним употребление простого прошедшего и прошедшего длительного.

Как Джон сломал руку? (что сделал? – сломал) – в этом случае употребляем простое время.

Он сломал руку, когда играл в теннис. «Что сделал?» – сломал, когда «что делал?» – играл (длительное время). Самый простой способ определить какое время нужно употребить

– это задать себе вопрос.

Попробуйте сами составить предложения по картинкам.

1. Как Салли сломала ногу? (помните, что глагол break неправильный, его форма в прошедшем времени – broke). – Она сломала ногу, съезжая (skiing) с горы.

Знаете, как образуется прошедшее длительное время? Глагол «быть» в прошедшем времени (или was, или were) и смысловой глагол, к которому вы добавляете окончание -ing. Посмотрите еще раз на пример с Джоном. Глагол play, получив новое окончание, превратился в playing.

2. Как Мартин потерял кошелек? – Он потерял кошелек, когда играл с сыном в бейсбол. (Глагол lose в прошедшем времени – lost.)

3. Как Пегги встретила своего мужа? – Она его встретила, когда читала в библиотеке. (Форма прошедшего времени глагола meet – met.)

4. Как супруги Томпсон обожглись? (Глагол «обжечься – правильный. Наконец-то! Значит, просто добавляете окончание -ed.) – Они обожглись, когда пекли печенье.

Изучаем греческий язык. Урок 2. Самый важный глагол 

В продолжение прошлого урока запомните несколько предложений. На их основе вы можете строить свои фразы. Только слова заменяйте.

Είσαι από την Κύπρο; – Όχι, είμαι από την Ρωσία. – Ты с Кипра? – Нет, я из России.

Η Μαρία είναι στο σπίτι τώρα; – Мария сейчас дома?

Είστε καλά; – У вас все хорошо?

Перед существительными чаще всего стоит артикль (даже перед именами). Η (η) – перед существительными женского рода, о – мужского рода, το – перед существительными среднего рода. Посмотрите на формы την и στο. В первом примере стоит артикль женского рода в родительном падеже. Помните из школьного курса, на какие вопросы отвечает слово в родительном падеже? «Кого? Чего?» А вторая форма – это сочетание предлога «в» (σε) с артиклем среднего рода (το). Получается – στο.

Обратили внимание, что в каждом предложении использован глагол «быть»? Во многих языках он является незаменимым словом и употребляется гораздо чаще, чем в русском. В греческом языке, например, можно не употреблять местоимение. Но глагол должен быть в любом предложении. И тот глагол, что я предлагаю вам запомнить сейчас – самый распространенный. Он очень вам пригодится. Может быть, уже сегодня.

Запоминайте сразу формы настоящего и прошедшего времени. Так легче. Местоимения привожу только в первой части. Просто к сведению. В большинстве фраз вы сможете и без них обходиться.

Я (есть) – εγώ είμαι

Ты (есть) – εσύ είσαι

Он, она, оно (есть) – αυτός, αυτή, αυτό είναι

Мы (есть) – εμείς είμαστε

Вы (есть) – εσείς είσαστε (εσείς είστε)

Они (есть) – αυτοί, αυτές, αυτά είναι

я был (-а) – ήμουν

ты был (-а) – ήσουν

она (она) был (-а) – ήταν

мы были – ήμασταν (ήμαστε)

вы были – ήσασταν (ήσαστε)

они были – ήταν

Πως ειστε; – Как дела?

Πού είσαι; – Где ты? (сочетание oυ читается как один звук [у], «пу исэ»)

Πού ήσουν; – Где ты был(а)?

В следующем выпуске мы разберемся в том, как изменяются глаголы. Начнем с простых форм (с местоимениями «я», «вы»), а затем перейдем к более сложным, которые зависят от типа спряжения глагола.

    1            Application of terms

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
