И возжелает царь красоты твоей…

Оцифрованные архивы «Вестника Кипра». № 785 от 15.10.2010 г. Святая Параскева-Пятница (греч., «канун праздника, пятница») – жившая в III в. христианская великомученица. Память о ней кипрской церковью совершается 14 октября. Образ великомученицы Параскевы на землях восточных славян тесно связан с культом языческого божества Пятницы, поэтому в народе святая получила двойное имя Параскева-Пятница. Русский народ называл мученицу Параскеву Пятницей, Пятиной, Петкой, а также Прасковьей.

Житие святой Параскевы

Святая Параскева родилась в Сербии. Ее рано умершие родители были людьми благочестивыми: они неуклонно исполняли все заповеди Божии и славились своими благотворениями и милостынями.

По смерти своих родителей Параскева стала проводить жизнь, полную скорбей и лишений. Однажды воспламенившись Божественным желанием жить для Господа, она усердно подражала жизни святых, умерщвляя постом свое тело и порабощая его духу. Параскева, покинув все мирское, скрылась от мира и стала проводить в пустыне Иорданской равноангельскую жизнь. Как пророк Илия и Иоанн Креститель, она питалась только пустынными злаками.

Постепенно истаевая то от жара, то от холода, она обращала свои взоры только к Единому Богу, могущему спасти смиренных сердцем «от вихря, от бури» (Пс.54:9).

Ведя такую суровую жизнь, Параскева заботилась только лишь об очищении души, об ответе на будущем суде и встрече с Небесным Женихом. «Тебе, женише мой, ищу», – говорила преподобная Параскева. Больше всего она заботилась о том, как вместе с мудрыми девами выйти навстречу Небесному Жениху, услышать Его глас и насладиться лицезрением красоты Его. Один Всевидящий Бог взирал на подвиги преподобной.

И исполнилось на ней пророческое слово: «И возжелает Царь красоты твоей» (Пс.44:12). Сохранив свою душу от греха и осквернения, сделалась Параскева церковью Живого Бога, и он вселился в нее с Отцом и Святым Духом.

Однажды ночью Святая по обыкновению своему стояла на молитве, когда она увидела ангела Божия, который сказал ей: «Оставь пустыню и возвратись в свое отечество, ибо там подобает тебе оставить тело на земле, а душою прейти ко Господу».

Повинуясь воле небесной, преподобная оставила пустыню и отправилась в отечество. Когда наступило время ее отшествия к Богу, Параскева помолилась усердно о самой себе и о всем мире и во время молитвы предала Богу свою блаженную душу.

Тело ее было погребено верующими по христианскому обычаю, но не на общем кладбище, а как тело странницы, никому не сказавшей о себе, откуда она.

Как были обнаружены мощи Параскевы

Желая прославить Свою угодницу Бог, по прошествии многих лет, открыл мощи ее при следующих обстоятельствах. Случилось, что на берег было выброшено волнами тело какого-то корабельщика, скончавшегося во время плавания. Когда рабочие копали яму для погребения его, они обнаружили лежащее в земле нетленное тело и сильно удивились сему. Будучи людьми несведущими, они рассудили так: «Если бы сие тело было святое, то Бог открыл бы его посредством каких-либо чудес».

Они вновь засыпали нетленное тело землею, бросив туда же и смрадный труп, а затем ушли домой.

С наступлением ночи, один из них увидал во сне некую царицу, которая сказала ему: «Зачем вы так презрели тело преподобной Параскевы и вместе с ним похоронили смердящий труп? Положите тело святой в достойном месте, ибо восхотел Бог прославить на земле рабу Свою».

Святые мощи Параскевы с торжеством были положены в церкви апостолов Петра и Павла, где, по молитвам святой Параскевы, от ее мощей подавались многие исцеления болящим: слепые прозревали, хромые начинали ходить и все недужные и бесноватые получали здравие.

Параскева Пятница: обряды и суеверия

Пятница была связана с Мокошью – единственным женским божеством древнерусского пантеона, чей идол в Киеве стоял рядом с кумирами Перуна и других божеств. И потому в грамоте Константинопольского патриарха 1589 года. К литовско-русским епископам содержится запрет праздновать пятницу наравне с воскресеньем. Параскева же стала непосредственным продолжением образа Мокошьи и после принятия христианства превратилась в Параскеву Пятницу. На дорогах, на перекрестках ставились на столбах небольшие часовни с иконой св. Параскевы. Эти часовни также назывались «пятницами».

У германских народов пятница именовалась «днем Фригг». Frigg – богиня магии, прорицания, плодородия и брака; она помогала роженицам и определяла судьбу новорожденных. С этим именем также связана и вера в то, что дети «приходят» из недр Земли, из гротов, пещер или из родников.

У славянских народов святая Параскева является покровительницей полей и скота. В день ее памяти в церковь приносят для освещения плоды, которые потом хранятся как святыня до следующего года. Святая мученица Параскева – целительница людей от самых тяжелых душевных и телесных недугов.

В пятницу, согласно «Стоглаву» – сборнику решений Стоглавого Собора 1551 года – не пряли, не стирали и не пахали, чтобы не запылить Пятницу и не засорить ей глаза. В случае нарушения традиции она могла наслать болезни.

Пятница считалась «бабьей святой», а в восточнославянской мифологии – покровительницей женщин и матерей. По украинским поверьям, Пятница ходит исколотая иглами и изверченная веретенами. Вплоть до XIX века в Украине сохранялся обычай «водить Пятницу» – женщину с распущенными волосами.

Существует древний обряд, согласно которому девушка, если хочет выйти замуж или родить детей, должна босиком обойти вокруг церкви три раза. Загаданное должно случиться в течение одного года.

У восточных славян деревянные скульптуры Пятницы ставились на колодцах, ей приносились жертвы (в колодец бросали ткани, нитки, овечью шерсть). Обряд назывался мокрида (от «Мокошь»). Традиция эта имеет параллели с мифологическими образами женщин, прядущих пряжу судьбы (мойры, норны).

Каноны иконописи

Святая Параскева обычно изображалась в красном одеянии, с крестом в руках. На старых северорусских иконах иконописцы обыкновенно изображали мученицу с суровым ликом, высокого роста, с лучезарным венком на голове.

Святая Параскева также могла изображаться в сюжетах, имеющих отношение к Страстям Христовым, так как толковалась как персонификация Великой Пятницы – дня Распятия Христова.

Иконы святой мученицы охраняют семейное благополучие и счастье.

Самый знаменитый храм Параскевы на Кипре

Эта древняя церковь расположена в трех километрах от Пафоса, в деревне Иероскипу. Ученые предполагают, что когда-то на этом месте возвышался античный храм, фрагменты которого были использованы при возведении церкви. Эта версия вполне правдоподобна, ведь и название Иероскипу произошло от находящегося здесь когда-то Священного Сада, посвященного языческой богине Афродите.

Храм святой Параскевы в Иероскипу сегодня считается одним из самых выдающихся памятников византийского зодчества на Кипре.

История этой пятикупольной трехнефной базилики насчитывает уже более 12-ти столетий – по предположениям ученых церковь была построена в IX в.

    1            Application of terms

    4            Your obligations

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
