Зеркало истории

История кипрской литературы насчитывает более 500 лет: от захвата острова османами в 1570-1571 гг. до наших дней. За этот большой временной отрезок литература успела пережить упадок и возрождение.

«Плач по Кипру»

События 1570–1571 годов не оставили равнодушными кипрских поэтов, которые изложили в стихах события, происходившие у них на глазах. Так уже в самом начале этого периода появилось великое произведение «Плач по Кипру», состоящее из 906 пятнадцатистопных стихов. Официально считается, что это поэма неизвестного автора. Но некоторые ученые отождествляют его с Соломоном Родиносом. Он, по свидетельствам собственного сына Неофита Родиноса, был ученым, писателем и живописцем. В любом случае автор «Плача по Кипру» был свидетелем событий, в этом можно убедиться, читая саму поэму.

Период турецкого господства – это время большого отката назад. Помимо того, что остров пришел в состояние экономического и общественного упадка, прервались все связи с Европой, а, следовательно, и с европейской духовностью и культурой. Более того, новые завоеватели принесли с собой собственные обычаи и свой менталитет с множеством самоограничений и заповедей.

Влияние Церкви

Пока была активна Церковь, наследница византийской традиции, поддерживалось и народное творчество, которое весьма обогатилось новыми творениями. Кроме того, Церковь (насколько ей было возможно, ведь даже многие архиереи были совершенно необразованными) старалась поддерживать греческое образование. Особенно с XVIII века и позднее. Так, на Кипр были приглашены некоторые замечательные духовные люди, которые стали и учителями, например, Ефрем Афинский. Церковь также сыграла значительную роль и в развитии самосознания, начав после XVIII века издание грекоязычных книг в Венеции. Среди книг, которые были изданы в то время, большинство составляли религиозные тексты. Главным светским изданием того периода считается «История острова Кипр» архимандрита Киприана, изданная в Венеции в 1788 году.

Итальянские мотивы

Многие кипрские ученые жили вне Кипра, в основном в Италии, куда после завоевания Кипра османами бежали многие семьи. Некоторые сочинения о Кипре (такие как, например, труд Стефана Лузиньяна), остаются для нас драгоценными источниками исторических сведений, но они были написаны на других языках и, соответственно, не могут рассматриваться как часть исключительно кипрской литературы.

От немногих киприотов, которые имели возможность учиться за границей, до нас дошли достойные внимания труды. Среди них особое место занимает Неофит Родинос. В ряду произведений кипрской литературы должны быть упомянуты также творения кипрских иерархов и других выдающихся людей, чья карьера проходила не на Кипре, например, Самуила Кипрского, Константина Фотиадиса, Антониоса Харилаоса, Афанасия Ритора и других.

На народный лад

Суровые события периода турецкого господства дали довольно объемные произведения народного творчества. Как правило, это повествовательные поэмы, как, например, «Песнь о споре драгоманов Маркуллиса и Георгия», «Песнь драгомана Хаджигеоргакиса Корнесиоса» и др. Встречаются и произведения на социально значимые темы: лирические, любовные и другие. Необходимо также упомянуть и роль кипрских народных поэтов, которые пришли на смену средневековым трубадурам. Поэты были частыми гостями на праздниках и других общественных мероприятиях, где они декламировали свои произведения, обычно представлявшие собой повествования о тех или иных значимых событиях. Они были и источниками новостей, и «социальными сетями» своего времени. Позднее, во время английского владычества, когда на Кипре появилось книгопечатание, народные поэты стали издавать брошюры со своими стихами. Вклад народных поэтов – столь же большая, сколько и интересная глава в истории литературы, потому что они были теми, кто служил слову и по-своему уникально изображал нужды, радости и печали всего народа.

Новые времена – новые технологии

Появление книгопечатания на Кипре в самом начале английского владычества сильно изменило положение. Занятие Кипра англичанами означало воссоединение с Европой, что было очень важно, поскольку до этого единственным источником европейского влияния были иностранные семьи торговцев и дипломатов, жившие в основном в Ларнаке. Воссоединение Кипра с Европой способствовало и большому скачку в культурном развитии киприотов. Естественно, какое-то время после английского завоевания в литературе продолжало господствовать народное творчество и особенно диалектная поэзия, ярчайшими представителями которой были Василис Михаилидис, Димитрис Липертис и множество других поэтов, которые стали печатать свои стихи в небольших брошюрах и продавать на праздниках. Кстати, обязательной частью праздников, например, лимассольского карнавала, всегда было выступление поэтов, которые громким голосом декламировали свои произведения.

Издание и распространение множества газет (поначалу только местных) способствовало тому, что на их страницах расцветали разные литературные жанры (в основном, поэзия, в большей степени сатирическая, позднее рассказы, историческая проза, драма и др.)

Влияние Греции

Постепенно на Кипре появлялось все больше книг, начали издаваться книги и местных авторов, находящихся главным образом под воздействием течений, преобладающих в Греции. Поэты и прозаики, писавшие на кипрском диалекте, остались вне этих влияний. В силу того, что они были в большинстве своем не имели образования, им были недоступны зарубежные произведения, в результате чего они черпали свои сюжеты из той местной действительности, в которой жили и которую знали.

Влияние Греции усиливалось за счет образования, которое проходило на кафаревусе. Так появились произведения кипрских писателей, написанные на кафаревусе и вдохновленные романтизмом и идеализмом того времени. В скором времени все больше и больше киприотов стали получать высшее образование за границей, в основном, в Греции. И вскоре оттуда и на Кипр пришли новые демократические и национальные тенденции, которые вдохновляли на борьбу за восстановление господства родного языка. Театр (до недавнего времени почти исключительно на любительской основе) тоже начал развиваться, благодаря чему у нас есть разные кипрские пьесы.

После появления на Кипре газет и вообще книгопечатания следующими важными вехами стали радио, а затем и телевидение, с которым начали сотрудничать кипрские писатели.

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    a            you agree to these Terms; and

    b            where your access and use is on behalf of another person (e.g. a company), you confirm that you are authorised to, and do in fact, agree to these Terms

    on that person’s behalf and that, by agreeing to these Terms on that person’s behalf, that person is bound by these Terms.

    2.1        We may change these Terms at any time by updating them on the Website. Unless stated otherwise, any change takes effect immediately.     3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    including and similar words do not imply any limit

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    We, us or our means VESTNIK KIPRA Group

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.
     

    5            Intellectual property

    We (and our licensors) own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the Website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

    6.1        To the extent permitted by law, we and our licensors have no liability or responsibility to you or any other person for any Loss in connection with:

    8.1        You are not required to provide personal information to us, although in some cases if you choose not to do so then we will be unable to make certain sections of the Website available to you. For example, we may need to have your contact information in order to provide you with updates from our Website.

    and services to you, credit checks (if necessary), and research and development.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
