Информатика – актуальность программы в настоящем и будущем

Университет Никосии идет в ногу со временем, предлагая студентам учебу по специальностям, которые будут востребованы еще долгие годы. Изучение информационных технологий — то, что позволит вам не только окунуться в мир будущего, но и работать в престижной сфере, будучи уверенным в завтрашнем дне.
Чему учат на кафедре Computer Science, рассказал Дмитрий Апраксин, ИТ-директор Университета Никосии.

— Расскажите немного о себе, как вы оказались на Кипре?
— Я начал работать программистом в далеком 1983 году во время обучения в Московском Государственном Университете Управления. С тех пор я ни разу не изменил этой профессии, работая по специальности даже в лихие 90-е годы, когда все мои друзья стали финансистами и бизнесменами. Это и стало основной причиной моего переезда на Кипр. Здесь я начал работать в небольшой ИТ-компании. Затем, в 1994 году, перешел в Университет Никосии, где преподаю несколько курсов на кафедре Computer Science.

— ИТ-сфера всегда связана с инновациями и нестандартными решениями. Как с этим обстояло дело в 90-х?
— Скоро исполнится 25 лет, как я работаю в университете. Когда я только пришел, у нас было менее 1 000 студентов, а на весь университет — около сотни компьютеров. Не ахти какое хозяйство. С тех пор количество студентов увеличилось более чем в 10 раз — сегодня их около 12 000. В Университете работают около 1 000 сотрудников. Компьютерная сеть объединяет 20 зданий, более сотни серверов и тысячу с небольшим рабочих станций. Помимо локального центра обработки данных, существенная часть наших вычислительных ресурсов находится «в облаке». Мы пользуемся сервисами AWS Amazon, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud. Без лишней скромности могу сказать, что немногие университеты на Кипре могут похвастаться такой инфраструктурой.

— Как проходит обучение студентов?
— Как я уже говорил ранее, я преподаю на кафедре Computer Science. Должен признаться, что за время моей работы в университете ситуация кардинально изменилась. Интерколледж, который был предшественником нынешнего университета, в основном, ориентировался на нужды местного рынка. По мере того, как наш ВУЗ постепенно становился региональным образовательным центром, и программы обучения, и подход к обучению, существенно изменились. Возможно, это бред, но, с моей точки зрения, Computer Science в чистом виде перестала существовать в тот момент, когда компьютеры стали неотъемлемой частью производства, прочно вошли в наш быт и, я не побоюсь это сказать, стали элементом общечеловеческой культуры. Искусство программирования, то есть кодирования на одном из алгоритмических языков, несомненно, имеет большое значение, но, в большинстве случаев, уже не является определяющим. Все большую и большую роль играет специализация.

— Какие же специализации предлагает Ваш университет?
— Во-первых, это информацион-ная безопасность. Если раньше круг заинтересованных в информационной безопасности организаций был весьма ограничен, то теперь она нужна всем, без исключения, и роль специалистов в этой сфере будет только увеличиваться. Во-вторых, это – мобильные системы. Сравнительно недавно появились смартфоны, как новый класс компьютеров, имеющих специфичную программно-аппаратную платформу. Не случайно специалисты по разработке программного обеспечения для них — в большом дефиците. Кроме этого, «Технологии распределенного реестра (или блокчейн)» и Data Science.

— А как насчет искусственного интеллекта?
— ИИ является неотъемлемой частью современных информационных систем. Например, ИИ в системе безопасности изучает «нормальное» поведение компьютерной системы и после непродолжительного периода обучения, в состоянии автоматически определить аномалии, в том числе хакерские атаки, блокировать доступ к системе в случае угрозы. Системы искусственного интеллекта могут осуществлять анализ спутниковых изображений и, например, информировать конечного пользователя о случаях незаконного строительства. Возможности ИИ безграничны. В программе бакалавриата мы предлагаем студентам такие курсы как Искусственный Интеллект (часть I и II), интеллектуальный анализ данных (Data Mining), нейронные сети, машинное обучение и глубокое обучение (Deep Learning). Помимо этого, на кафедре имеется Лаборатория Искусственного Интеллекта (AILAB), которая проводит научные исследования в этой области.

— Какие языки программирования будут знать ваши выпускники?
— В наши программы включено изучение таких языков программирования как C++, Java, C#, Python и т.д. В то же время, количество языков программирования и платформ увеличилось многократно за последние несколько лет. Поэтому мы считаем очень важным выработку навыка самостоятельного изучения языков программирования, делая упор на принципах программирования, а не на конкретных языках.

— Сегодня довольно часто можно встретить точку зрения, что профессиональный сертификат – это круче. Что вы можете сказать по этому поводу?
— Для того, чтобы ответить на этот вопрос, мне надо объяснить разницу между профессиональным и академическим образованием. Профессиональное образование «заточено» под конкретную платформу или продукт. Изучение фундаментальных дисциплин очень ограничено. Действительно, если у вас есть сертификат CISCO или Microsoft, вам проще найти хорошую работу, где востребованы навыки работы с оборудованием CISCO или программным обеспечением Microsoft. Поэтому перспективы карьерного роста обладателя профессионального сертификата весьма и весьма ограничены. Скорее всего, такой работник продвинется по карьерной лестнице незначительно, занимая ту же самую позицию. С другой стороны, академическое образование фокусируется на выработке навыков обучения. Способность наших выпускников к непрерывному самообразованию, впитыванию всего нового невозможно переоценить в такой области, как информационные технологии, где новые продукты, платформы, решения возникают постоянно.

— Сотрудничаете ли вы с российскими ВУЗами?
— Наш университет — интернациональный по своей философии. Более половины наших студентов из-за рубежа, наши преподаватели получали свое образование за границей, и, естественно, у университета много международных связей. Российские ВУЗы пользуются очень хорошей репутацией как в информатике, так и в смежных областях. Один из наших международных проектов — разработка двух программ магистратуры с Московским Государственным Университетом им. Ломоносова. Мы тесно сотрудничаем с Факультетом Космических Исследований (ФКИ). Также мы работаем над программой двойного диплома по «Информа-ционной безопасности», которую мы осуществляем совместно с Университетом ИТМО (Санкт-Петербург). Помимо этого, наши преподаватели являются оппонентами и со-руководителями диссертационных исследований на соискание ученой степени «Кандидат Наук» аспирантов из России. Преподаватели и ученые Российских ВУЗов – частые гости нашего университета.

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    a            you agree to these Terms; and

    b            where your access and use is on behalf of another person (e.g. a company), you confirm that you are authorised to, and do in fact, agree to these Terms

    on that person’s behalf and that, by agreeing to these Terms on that person’s behalf, that person is bound by these Terms.

    3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    including and similar words do not imply any limit

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    We, us or our means VESTNIK KIPRA Group

    Website means https://vkcyprus.com/

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.
     

    5            Intellectual property

    We (and our licensors) own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the Website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

    6.1        To the extent permitted by law, we and our licensors have no liability or responsibility to you or any other person for any Loss in connection with:

    a the Website being unavailable (in whole or in part) or performing slowly;

    b any error in, or omission from, any information made available through the Website;

    c any exposure to viruses or other forms of interference which may damage your computer system or expose you to fraud when you access or use the Website. To avoid doubt, you are responsible for ensuring the process by which you access and use the Website protects you from this; and

For example, we may need to have your contact information in order to provide you with updates from our Website.

    and services to you, credit checks (if necessary), and research and development.

    10         General

    10.1      If we need to contact you, we may do so by email or by posting a notice on the Website. You agree that this satisfies all legal requirements in relation to written communications.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
