Как улучшить свой разговорный английский самостоятельно?

Понятно, что самый действенный способ начать говорить по-английски – как можно чаще общаться с англоговорящим собеседником. Но можно поработать над разговорными навыками и самостоятельно.

Читайте вслух. Используйте аудиокниги, чтобы проверить, как что произносится, повторяйте за диктором или пробуйте читать вместе с ним (это, конечно, продвинутый уровень, тренируйтесь!).

Запишите себя на диктофон. Послушайте, ужаснитесь (кому нравится собственный голос на диктофонной записи?), снова запишите и снова слушайте. Записывать можно текст, повторенный за диктором, песню, фразы из сериала – что угодно. Главное, пытайтесь воспроизвести интонации и произношение из оригинала. И не забывайте возвращаться к этим записям через какое-то время – чтобы снова ужаснуться, ведь теперь вы разговариваете значительно лучше!

Найдите тематический диалог на YouTube (допустим, бронирование авиабилетов) и учите именно эти ключевые фразы. Повторяйте их вслух, записывайте на диктофон, обклейте ими весь дом – и вы усвоите их до автоматизма. Вы сами удивитесь, как легко вам будет ответить на вопрос или спросить о чем-то с помощью этих запавших в память фраз, когда придет время. Не пытайтесь выучить все слова – найдите «свой» словарь, сконцентрируйтесь на тех фразах, которые нужны вам.

Не учите новые слова. Учите сразу фразы и выражения! Ведь мы не разговариваем словами, мы используем фразы, словосочетания. Узнали новое слово – сразу открывайте словарь collocations dictionary – смотреть, в каких словосочетаниях это слово используется. Тут же погуглите идиомы, фразы с этим словом. И тогда учите все вместе, так это слово будет легче воспроизвести в речи. Кстати, можно найти стихотворение с тем или иным словом и учить его наизусть, чтобы потом декламировать, – тренируем произношение, ритм.

Обязательно пойте. Кажется, что такого? Песни и песни. Но на самом деле это мощнейшая тренировка разговорного навыка – с мелодией гораздо легче запомнить словосочетания и фразы, а в каких-то песнях бывают и полезные ежедневные фразы – про разговор по телефону, про отношения, планы. Заполняйте свой плейлист английскими песнями!

Слушайте! Все время слушайте английскую речь! В сериалах, фильмах, роликах на YouTube или TED – только прошу вас, без русских субтитров! Читая по-русски то, что говорят вам по-английски, вы просто читаете по-русски! Понимаете, да? Мозг вообще не в курсе, что к нему еще и по-английски обращаются. Лучше возьмите transcript – письменную расшифровку речи, на сайте TED к каждому ролику такие есть, на сайте ororo.tv к сериалам и фильмам есть субтитры на английском, которые при наведении мышки дают перевод! Умоляю, забудьте про русские субтитры, в повседневной жизни их нет! Успех разговора на 50% зависит от того, поймете ли вы собеседника.

А еще забудьте про мечту всегда понимать все, что вам говорят. Так не бывает! Помните вашего преподавателя в университете, которого вообще никто понять не мог, хотя он и говорил по-русски? А соседка вашей бабушки? Тоже непонятно, что говорит! У каждого человека свой ритм речи, свои «фефекты фикции», а иногда бывает просто слишком шумно – сходите в ирландский паб в День святого Патрика! Там и англичане друг друга не понимают, просто потому что не слышат! Пытайтесь всегда услышать ключевые слова. Ведь если человек вам говорит «Yesterday… shopping… my mom…», этого достаточно, чтобы понять: скорее всего, он сказал, что вчера ходил за покупками с мамой.

Пересказывайте вслух простейшее – сказку про Колобка, анекдот про Вовочку, историю знакомства ваших родителей. Думаете, просто? А попробуйте начать сразу, вот так, сходу! И окажется, что вы не знаете, как будет «катиться», «парта» или «поехали на картошку». Попробуйте рассказывать истории себе или домашним экспромтом, а потом записывайте историю, дополнив ее словами из словаря. Пишите по три-четыре истории из 10–15 предложений каждую неделю, и через пару месяцев ваш словарный запас – как и коллекция историй на английском – существенно увеличится. И вы готовы к встрече с англоговорящими людьми, и даже к small talk – вежливому разговору за ужином или в поездке.

Помните о запретных темах. Обычно это религия, политика, зарплата. Придерживайтесь нейтральных тем – последних киноновинок, любимых сериалов. Не старайтесь поразить собеседника длиной своего предложения. Лучше выражаться проще и понятнее.

Выучите небольшие фразы для мотивации собеседника и демонстрации, что вы его слушаете и понимаете: «Oh, really?», «Indeed!», «No way!», «Amazing!», «That’s interesting!», «I didn’t know that!» – любому человеку приятно, когда его слушают.

Не стесняйтесь! Очень многие мои ученики говорят: «Вот сейчас выучу английский и тогда пойду общаться». Не выучите и не пойдете! Идите прямо сейчас и общайтесь так, как умеете! Не забывайте, что и носители делают ошибки, запинаются, оговариваются, а иногда просто не ориентируются в обсуждаемой теме.

Так что не стесняйтесь! Не тяните! Вперед, общаться!

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    4            Your obligations

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
