Никос Николаидис: «Лимассол – город с открытым сердцем»

Редакция газеты «Вестник Кипра» продолжает знакомить читателей с главами муниципалитетов. Мы публикуем интервью с мэром одного из самых популярных у русскоязычного населения Кипра городов – Лимассола. Никос Николаидис занял свой пост совсем недавно. Но приоритеты расставлены, цели намечены, и уже началась их реализация…

– У вас был опыт работы на посту министра, поэтому вы имеете общее представление о ситуации на острове. Что, на ваш взгляд, должно быть сделано в Лимассоле в ближайшем будущем?

– Прежде всего, пользуясь случаем, должен отметить, что мы очень гордимся тем, что многие русскоговорящие жители Кипра выбрали для жизни и работы Лимассол, сделав его своим вторым домом. Мы высоко ценим их вклад в нашу жизнь, культуру, экономику. И нам хотелось бы сделать вашу жизнь, равно как и нашу, как можно лучше. Для меня большая честь быть мэром Лимассола. Это город, который я люблю. У него достойное прошлое и большое будущее. Это очень теплый и гостеприимный город. Город с открытым сердцем. Во многом это связано с местоположением: Лимассол – портовый город, он был вратами на Кипр для людей из разных культур, с разными мировоззрениями и традициями. Поэтому Лимассол стал именно таким, каким мы знаем его сейчас. Мы должны сохранить то, что имеем. В то же время, надо постараться сделать город лучше во всех отношениях. В экономике, строительстве, культуре, развлечениях, защите окружающей среды… Мы верим, что именно улучшение уровня повседневной жизни горожан сможет сделать людей счастливее, и начали с того, что обратили внимание на окрестности Лимассола. Ведь город – это не только красивая набережная, развитые центр и марина со Старым портом. Надо взглянуть и на то, что находится за красивым фасадом. Мы хотим засадить некоторые участки деревьями, построить новые пешеходные и велосипедные дорожки. И таким образом создать возможности для большей социализации людей, чтобы они могли проводить свободное время, гулять, заниматься спортом. Это одна из наших основных целей.

В то же время мы смотрим, как можно реализовать новые проекты. В частности, модернизировать центр муниципалитета Айя Фила. Хотим улучшить дороги, соединяющие районы Лимассола между собой. Например, Милтонос, Айос Николаос или Грива Дигени. Мы планируем обратить внимание и на символы нашего города, например, на Площадь героев, район Энаэриос, городской парк, зоопарк, район ГСО. Сделать их лучше, привлекательнее.

Помимо того, наша цель – усовершенствование структуры муниципалитета, чтобы она была более эффективной. Для этого, возможно, потребуется и реорганизация некоторых служб. В наших планах создание партнерской сети, состоящей из социальных партнеров мэрии. Я имею в виду организации, группы людей, Торгово-промышленную палату, университеты, с которыми можно создать партнерство по обмену услугами, идеями. Надо организовать это так, чтобы все работало на благо города. Я уверен, что Лимассол находится на правильном пути, и мы хотим сделать все возможное для того, чтобы только его придерживаться.

– Какие практические шаги вы планируете предпринять, будучи на посту мэра?

– Часть планов по модернизации дорожной системы города уже находится в стадии реализации. В частности, ведутся работы на участке, соединяющем район Старого порта с прибрежной дорогой – улицей Франклина Рузвельта. Предстоят работы и в западной части города. Там надо усовершенствовать дороги, площади и тротуары. Работы на улице Агиос Филаксеос помогут улучшить ситуацию с дорожным движением.

Мы планируем развивать западную часть Лимассола. Уже известно, что там будет построено казино курортного типа, оно станет основой для модернизации района. Мы также думаем над некоторыми менее грандиозными проектами, которые будут способствовать улучшению городской инфраструктуры. Хочется, чтобы Лимассол стал городом с хорошей экономикой, культурой и высоким уровнем жизни. Все это мы хотим достигнуть путем взаимодействия с общественностью.

– Почему Лимассол оказался более привлекательным для бизнесменов, чем другие города Кипра?

– Тому есть множество причин. За последние несколько лет город, действительно, в значительной степени развился. Лимассол традиционно являлся центром финансовой активности, промышленности, туризма, сферы услуг. У нас хорошие юридические и аудиторские компании. Есть и места, которые привлекают туристов. Это марина, набережная, Старый порт. Однако немаловажную роль сыграл и менталитет жителей Лимассола. Люди, которые с легкостью воспринимают новшества, пробуют применять их на практике. И это очень важно для развития города. Это привлекло новых людей с новыми идеями. Большой удачей для Лимассола стало участие российских граждан. Со середины девяностых годов они дали новую жизнь финансовой системе города, привлекая сюда инвестиции, переезжая на Кипр со своими семьями и работниками своих компаний.

– Как муниципалитет Лимассола общается с иностранными жителями города?

– Прежде всего, мы хотим донести до всех, что муниципалитет Лимассола – это также их муниципалитет. Впрочем, мы хотим дружить не только на словах, но и на деле, помогая решать любые проблемы, с которыми они к нам обращаются. Мы стараемся построить мосты между нашим муниципалитетом и сообществами иностранцев, постоянно проживающих в городе. Особенно важна для нас российская община. Я встречался с Послом Российской Федерации на Кипре Станиславом Осадчим. Мы говорили о путях укрепления дружеских связей, о сотрудничестве с организациями наших российских друзей на Кипре. Мы хотим помочь вам продвигать мероприятия, которые вы организовываете на Кипре. Чтобы они стали более популярными среди киприотов. Чтобы россияне активнее участвовали в наших мероприятиях. Чтобы существующие между нашими народами связи только крепли.

Никос Николаидис

Родился 2 ноября 1953 года в Лимассоле. По окончании школы и службы в армии учился в США. Степень магистра получил в Дартмутском колледже. Аспирантуру по специальности: «Электромеханика» окончил в Университете Южной Калифорнии. В 1978-1981 гг работал в Греции. Был менеджером проектов Государственной энергетической компании.

Вернувшись на родину, работал в Электрической компании Кипра. С февраля 2008 до марта 2010 года был министром коммуникаций и общественных работ. Среди его проектов – введение новой системы общественного транспорта, завершение разработки новой структуры налогообложения для торгового судоходства, полный охват Кипра сетью интернет и появление на острове цифровых телеканалов.

В мае 2011 года был избран депутатом Парламента от партии ДИСИ. В декабре 2016 года был избран мэром Лимассола. Женат, двое детей.

    1            Application of terms

    1.1        These Terms apply to your use of the Website. By accessing and using the Website:

    a            you agree to these Terms; and

    b            where your access and use is on behalf of another person (e.g. a company), you confirm that you are authorised to, and do in fact, agree to these Terms

    on that person’s behalf and that, by agreeing to these Terms on that person’s behalf, that person is bound by these Terms.

    1.2        If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorised to access and use the Website, and you must immediately stop doing so.

    2.1        We may change these Terms at any time by updating them on the Website. Unless stated otherwise, any change takes effect immediately.     3            Definitions

    In these Terms:

    including and similar words do not imply any limit

    Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis

    personal information means information about an identifiable, living person

    Terms means these terms and conditions titled Terms and conditions of use

    Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website

    We, us or our means VESTNIK KIPRA Group

    Website means https://vkcyprus.com/

    You means you or, if clause 1.1b applies, both you and the other person on whose behalf you are acting.

     

    4            Your obligations

    4.1        You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us and must promptly update that information as required so that the

    information remains true, current and complete.

    4.2        You must:

    a not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System; and

    b unless with our agreement, access the Website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.

    4.3 You indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms.
     

    5            Intellectual property

    We (and our licensors) own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the Website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

    10         General

    10.1      If we need to contact you, we may do so by email or by posting a notice on the Website. You agree that this satisfies all legal requirements in relation to written communications.

    10.2      These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the

    Republic of Cyprus.

    Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the

    Website.

    10.3      For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.

    10.4      Clauses which, by their nature, are intended to survive termination of these Terms, including clauses 5, 6, 7, 10.1, continue in force.

    10.5      If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent

    required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as

    severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.

    10.6      These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or

    agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not

    expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.
